We worked on this Victorian house in Crouch End with Alexander Martin Architects. The design was to add a three-storey contemporary side extension to tie in with the existing house, and flood the spaces with light. An open plan kitchen and dining room in the new extension connected directly into the existing house living area and garden. The design was to maximizes light and free-flow of space with huge windows. A stunning self-contained master bedroom suite, with open plan dressing area, covered the entire top floor and the interior design palette of marble, white walls and timber flooring gave a serene feel. Direct access onto a roof terrace gave the client views to the City, and a stunning cantilevered oak staircase was an additional showpiece to the overall design.
